Are you concerned that your teenage child is driving faster than the speed limit or hanging around with a bad crowd? That your spouse isn’t working late in the office like they say they are, but actually is unfaithful? That your employees aren’t going where they say they go in the company car?
In the last few years, GPS tracking technology has become an extremely powerful and accurate tool. GPS trackers make it easy to track a child as they walk around or to monitor the movement of a car in real time, right from the safety of your laptop. They are also used for more unconventional purposes such as by bus and train services to track arrival times or by food delivery services to allow consumers to track their food deliveries.
Q. What are GPS Tracking devices?
A. They are specialized electronic GPS (Global Positioning System) devices which are designed to be covertly implanted on a vehicle, person or object with special computer software allowing the owner to track location and collect data (such as speed) from a separate location using a computer or phone.
One of our most advanced devices with this technology is the Spark Nano with real time tracking and cellular assist. The cellular assist contained in the GPS device allows you to track even through brick, concrete or metal buildings and to place the GPS device almost anywhere: in a personal vehicle, inside construction equipment or on an important shipment or asset.
Many GPS tracking devices on the market don’t work reliably or simply don’t work at all. At Spy Tec we have painstakingly sought out the best GPS products available with the most user friendly mapping technology. One choice to make when purchasing a GPS tracking device is whether you need a “real-time” GPS tracker or a “historical” logger. A historical logger stores the information and upon retrieval of the GPS, the route traveled can be downloaded to your computer via the USB port. These GPS devices require no monthly service fees. With real-time GPS tracking devices (monthly fees apply) you can log onto your device from any computer and pinpoint its current location along with a “bread crumb” trail (map) of where the GPS has traveled.
If you need any help choosing the right GPS tracking device for your needs, please don’t hesitate to call!
