This Real Time unit is distinctive from other REAL TIME tracking system, smallest unit on the market, fits in the palm of your hand and easy to conceal on your person or in a vehicle. The GPS 500 works in locations were other trackers will not, like inside metal, brick or concrete buildings and parking garages.
The tracking device will use THREE different methods to determine a position. Assisted GPS (A-GPS), AFLT, & Cell-Sector.
When a user requests to locate a device, our server will communicate with the tracking device and ask for it's location. The tracking device will then attempt to get a GPS fix from the satellites in orbit using Assisted GPS (A-GPS). If successful, the tracking device will transmit the coordinates back to our server and display them on the mapping software. In assisted GPS mode, the tracking device will only need to receive data from 2 satellites to determine an exact location. If the device is unable to receive the GPS data (This is normally caused by the tracking device located in a parking garage, building, or under metal), the tracking device will automatically revert to cell tower triangulation, known as AFLT. (AFLT-Advanced Forward Link Triangulation)
