The GpsGate VehicleTracker application is included in the GpsGate Server StarterPack. You can either subscribe to it as a service managed by GpsGate or download the software and install it on your own server.
Both options have a free trial period. Go to the GpsGate Server StarterPack page for details.
A tracking device receives position information from GPS satellites and forwards it to your GpsGate VehicleTracker application. Depending on your business requirements you can use software tracking clients, vehicle mounted tracking devices, asset tracking devices or personal tracking devices.

Internet connection options
Your tracking device needs to have an internet connection to send position data to your GpsGate VehicleTracker application.
The most common option is to use a data subscription in 2G or 3G mobile networks. Most dedicated tracking devices include a mobile data module that use standard SIM cards.
Customers using a software client usually use a mobile broadband connection.
Satellite communication systems, such as Iridium and Orbcomm, can also be used to transmit data to GpsGate VehicleTracker in areas with poor mobile network coverage.
